DME Continues Technology Expansion with Twitter, Quick Response (QR) Code Launches
Madison Heights, Mich. – DME Company, a leading manufacturer of mold technologies, recently expanded its technical resources for molders and moldmakers through two new channels – a Twitter account and the use of Quick Response (QR) codes in several print advertisements.
DME’s Twitter account provides brief, timely updates to customers, prospects and the industry on DME products as well as company and industry news. The Twitter account aligns with two of DME’s existing social media channels – its YouTube channel and Facebook page.
The QR codes, which are featured in a new line of DME print advertisements, resemble standard bar codes. People with smartphones can download a QR code app, which allows them to snap a photo of the code. The code then gives them access to relevant information from DME including videos and product news.
DME’s Twitter account and QR codes are the latest in a series of new technology channels the company is using to reach current and potential customers and others. In recent years, DME launched both a Facebook page and YouTube channel. DME also offers a series of industry resources including DME Plastics UniversityTM, which provides online training courses and scholarships; the DME CAD Library, containing more than 65,000 downloadable 2D and 3D drawings and part specs; and other initiatives.
